For our Black + Magical collection, I knew I had to use Labradorite for our Cicada Fae pieces. Labradorite is one of my all-time favorite crystals, and a lot like rainbow moonstone, it also has an iridescent sheen. Labradorite can range from milky white to clear gray with flashes of blue, purple, green, orange, and many other colors. If you ever get a chance to see Labradorite in person, move it around, allowing it to catch the light. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Labradorite is considered the stone of self-discovery. It can help you awaken your inner spiritual power and assist in developing your intuition and psychic abilities. Labradorite also assists with releasing you from old patterns, beliefs, and emotions that no longer serve you and prevent you from moving forward in your path.

If you haven't noticed, Apatite is one of our favorite crystals over here at Earth + Fire, which meant it HAD to be a part of the collection. Apatite naturally comes in transparent, translucent, and opaque forms and can range from brown to green to yellow. Our favorite form is the rich sea blue.

Apatite is considered the stone of acceptance. It allows you to accept others for who they are and helps you to love freely and unconditionally. Apatite is also known for aiding in clearing confusion and negativity and assisting with personal growth, motivation, independence, and ambition.

When creating the Black + Magical collection piece

When creating the Black + Magical collection pieces, I wanted everything to be reflective, like insect wings. I love that subtle shift between green, blue, and purple, or even fiery orange to purple to green. I wanted to emphasize the subtle rainbows found in nature.

To do that across the jewelry pieces created, I incorporated crystals that also have those subtle shifts. One of the crystals that I used is Rainbow Moonstone. Rainbow Moonstone can be found in peach, white, cream, or black with an iridescent sheen that makes it look like it's glowing.
•
Moonstone is a crystal that helps strengthen faith, whether it be faith in a higher power, trust in the goodness of the universe, or faith in yourself and others.
